EVERYTHING
CHECKABLE.

Our registration, our filings, who runs the organization, and the things we have not done yet. Every item below is either a public record you can pull up yourself or an open gap we are naming before you have to ask.

We are a young organization. The honest version of that is more useful to a funder than a polished one.

Governance & Programs

Listed as Principal Officer on the organization’s Form 990-N and as agent for service of process with the California Secretary of State.

We are recruiting a board of directors.

California public benefit corporations are governed by a board, and most funders expect at least three unrelated members. We are actively recruiting and we would rather say so here than leave the question open. If you have governed a small education nonprofit, or you work in K–12 curriculum, school administration, or nonprofit finance, we would like to talk.

WHAT WE HAVE,
AND WHAT WE DO NOT.

What we file

We file Form 990-N (e-Postcard) annually. Our most recent filing covers tax period 2025 and attests gross receipts at or below $50,000. That filing is public through the IRS search linked above.

What we do not have

  • No independent audit. At our size the 990-N threshold does not trigger one, and we will not imply otherwise.
  • No published annual report yet. The first one follows the first pilot.
  • No measured program outcomes. No cohort has completed.
  • California Registry of Charities standing is being confirmed and will be posted here with the registration number.

Deductibility

Young Innovators for Change is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (EIN 33-1544346), listed in IRS Publication 78. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
